Chocolate Egg Nest Treats

Delightful chocolate egg nests made with chow mein noodles, milk chocolate, and butterscotch chips, topped with mini Cadbury eggs for a festive and fun Easter dessert.

Equipment

  • 1 silicone muffin pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 double boiler or microwave-safe bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 12 ounces mini Cadbury eggs
  • yellow frosting for beak detail

Instructions
 

  • Place chow mein noodles in a large bowl.
  • Melt milk chocolate and butterscotch chips together at 50% power for 1 minute or use a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
  • Reserve about 1 tablespoon of melted milk chocolate.
  • Pour remaining melted chocolate mixture over noodles and stir to coat evenly.
  • Spray a silicone muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Spoon the mixture into muffin cups and press lightly in the center to form nests.
  • Dip the back of each mini Cadbury egg into the reserved chocolate and place in the center of each nest.
  • Using a toothpick dipped in remaining chocolate, add two eyes on each egg.
  • Optional: add a small dot of yellow frosting for the beak.
  • Allow nests to harden before carefully removing them from the pan using a butter knife.

Notes

  • Use a double boiler for smoother melting.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • Customize with different candy eggs or sprinkles.
