Ingredients
  

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 9 slices American cheese
  • 24 –30 dill pickle slices
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate.
  • Cook ground beef with onion, salt, and pepper in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or sheet pan.
  • Place the bottom slider buns in the dish and spread a thin layer of sauce on each.
  • Evenly layer the cooked beef mixture over the buns.
  • Top the beef with cheese slices followed by pickle slices.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Remove from oven, add shredded lettuce and more sauce on top.
  • Place the top buns on the sliders, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
  • Return to oven and bake for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the tops are lightly toasted.
  • Slice sliders if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef if preferred.
  • Add lettuce after baking to keep it crisp or bake with sliders for warmth.
  • Use Thousand Island dressing as a quick sauce alternative.
  • Crisp softened buns in an air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes before serving.
