Equipment

  • 1 skillet
  • 1 small bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend

Instructions

  • Combine softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley in a small bowl until evenly mixed.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  • Place two slices butter-side down in a skillet or on a board, then evenly divide cheese over them.
  • Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up, completing the sandwiches.
  • Heat the skillet over low heat and cook sandwiches 4 to 5 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  • Flip sandwiches carefully and cook the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes until cheese melts and bread crisps.
  • Remove from heat, slice, and serve immediately while warm and gooey.

Notes

  • Use low heat to prevent burning and ensure cheese melts smoothly.
  • Softened butter spreads easier and more evenly on bread.
  • Pairs well with tomato soup for a classic lunch combo.
  • Customize with your favorite cheeses or add-ins like tomatoes or jalapeƱos.
