Equipment

  • 1 large skillet 12-inch heavy duty skillet
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 plate for drying chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch bite size pieces (about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ pounds)
  • ¾ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning blend
  • ¾ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Pat chicken pieces dry with a paper towel and place them on a plate.
  • In a small bowl, mix Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken pieces and toss to coat.
  • Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until butter melts.
  • Add chicken pieces in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Flip chicken and cook an additional 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown and no pink remains; internal temperature should reach 165°F.
  • Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and minced garlic to the skillet; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Turn off heat, toss chicken bites to coat in garlic butter sauce, and garnish with minced parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure chicken pieces are dry before seasoning for better searing.
  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor in the butter sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
