Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 3 to 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 medium tomatoes diced
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 loaf 1 pound unsliced French bread

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, chopped basil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Add diced tomatoes to the bowl and toss gently to combine.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the tomato mixture and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • Bring the tomato mixture to room temperature before serving.
  • Slice the French bread into 24 pieces and toast under the broiler until lightly browned.
  • Top each toasted bread slice with the tomato mixture and serve immediately.
