Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita pockets
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned and fully cooked.
  • Stir in ground cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper, cooking for 2 more minutes to blend flavors.
  • Remove beef mixture from heat.
  • Warm pita pockets in a toaster or oven.
  • Cut each pita pocket in half carefully to create pockets for filling.
  • Fill each pita half with the cooked beef mixture.
  • Top with diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and chopped parsley.
  • Drizzle tzatziki sauce on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • Substitute tzatziki with hummus for a different flavor.
  • Wrap leftovers tightly and store refrigerated for up to 2 days.
