Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon freshly ground recommended
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or non-dairy
  • 1/4 cup butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with greased parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, beat eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  • Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
  • Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Allow bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Mix powdered sugar with milk to form glaze and drizzle over cooled bars.
