Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 15.25 ounce box strawberry cake mix
  • 2/3 cup pink sanding sugar
  • 36 strawberry ice cream cone kisses unwrapped

Instructions
 

  • Beat cream cheese, butter, and egg in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Add cake mix and beat until no dry streaks remain.
  • Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Roll dough into 1 tablespoon-sized balls, then roll each ball in sanding sugar.
  • Place dough balls on baking sheets, spacing at least 1 ½ inches apart.
  • Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are set.
  • Immediately press one strawberry kiss gently on top of each cookie after baking.
  • Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
  • Freeze cookies for up to 3 months; thaw at room temperature before serving.
